Biography
Luísa Salgueiro is a lawyer and has been the Mayor of Matosinhos since 2017. 1997 -2009 Councilor of Matosinhos. 2005 elected to the Portuguese Parliament serving until 2017. Holds a portfolio of external offices: 2021-2025 President of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities, presently President of the General Council; Vice-President of the Regional Executive Committee of ICLEI; Member of the European Political Board of the Covenant of Mayors; Secretary of the Energy Cities, European Climate Pact Ambassador and nominated Champyon Mayor
