Biography
Barbara Steenbergen has been committed to tenant protection for more than 25 years. She started in 2001 as political coordinator of the Deutscher Mieterbund in Berlin. In 2007, the IUT elected her as head of the newly founded IUT liaison office the EU. Since 2013 she has been a member of the IUT Executive Board, responsible for the political relations, representation and advocacy towards the EU Commission, the EU Parliament, EU Council, the CoR , the EESC and all relevant bodies at EU level. Barbara chairs the jury of the European Responsible Housing Awards.Sessions
