Housing Renovation for a Fair and Climate-Resilient Urban Future
This keynote will explore how building renovation can help address two of the most pressing challenges facing European cities: access to affordable housing and climate change. Drawing on Spain's experience, the presentation will examine how public policies can improve the energy performance, accessibility and quality of existing housing while ensuring social inclusion and affordability. It will also highlight the role of the Spanish Urban Agenda, the National Building Renovation Plan and the Zero-Emission Architecture 2050 strategy in delivering a fair transition towards more sustainable, resilient and people-centred cities.
